England put themselves on course for victory in the first Test against Bangladesh on Sunday after building a huge 434-run lead on the third day despite losing five wickets in quick succession.

Mahmudullah compiled a maiden Test century as Bangladesh kept themselves in contention on day three of the only Test against New Zealand, replying to the Black Caps' score of 553 for six declared with a respectable 408.

India dominated the first day of the second Test against Bangladesh in Dhaka, bowling their hosts out for 233 and then progressing to 69 without loss at stumps.
