Andrew Strauss was delighted to put Saturday's defeat by Bangladesh behind him in emphatic fashion as England rebounded to win the third ODI by 144 runs to secure a 2-1 series victory.

Birmingham: Andrew Strauss and Jonathan Trott made hundreds as England bounced back from last weekend's shock defeat to beat Bangladesh by 144 runs at Edgbaston here on Monday and so take the three-match one-day international series 2-1.

Dhaka: Bangladesh recalled former captain Mohammad Ashraful and all-rounder Naeem Islam on Friday after batsman Roqibul Hassan and wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim were ruled out of the ongoing one-day series against England. Roqibul, who top scored for his side with 76 in the first ODI, was injured after being struck by the ball on the left toe while Mushfiqur was hit in the face by left-arm spinner Faisal Hossain and had to be stretchered off the field.
