Persistent rain in Glasgow forced the only One-Day International between Bangladesh and Scotland to be abandoned.

Shafiul Islam with the ball and Tamim Iqbal with the bat set up a comprehensive six-wicket win for Bangladesh over Ireland in the second One-Day International in Belfast, resulting in a drawn series.

Andrew Strauss was delighted to put Saturday's defeat by Bangladesh behind him in emphatic fashion as England rebounded to win the third ODI by 144 runs to secure a 2-1 series victory.

Bangladesh scored 236-7 against England in the second one-day international on Saturday with opener Imrul Kayes hitting 76 in 111 balls.

Dhaka: Bangladesh recalled former captain Mohammad Ashraful and all-rounder Naeem Islam on Friday after batsman Roqibul Hassan and wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim were ruled out of the ongoing one-day series against England. Roqibul, who top scored for his side with 76 in the first ODI, was injured after being struck by the ball on the left toe while Mushfiqur was hit in the face by left-arm spinner Faisal Hossain and had to be stretchered off the field.

Bangladesh have had a terible year in terms purely of results. In 2010 they have played 24 international matches (seven Tests, 14 one-dayers and three Twenty20 games) and have lost them all.
